Anna Wintour was the first to show up for the HEMYCA presentation this afternoon, describing the collection as "beautiful".

The designers, who launched their label in 2007, were still buzzing from the thrill as they greeted more press and buyers at their London Fashion Week off-schedule event.

“She wanted to know everything. She was asking where we’re stocked, who we were, what the collection was about and she took our card,” said one half of the design team Helen Clinch.

The autumn/winter 12 collection, A World of Glass, featured luxury winter coats with faux fur colours, laser cut leather overlays and sheer shirts and skirts.

The key colours were black, aubergine and cream, adding to the ethereal theme.

The collection explores the strengtg, determination and compassion needed to overcome the fragility of the world we live in today. This is a label for modern women who power dress in the most feminine sense of the world to be successful.

The couture label chose a presentation instead of a catwalk show, a trend that is proving more and more popular with designers.

Myra Nigris, who met her designer counterpart Helen while they were studying at London College of Fashion, said: “It allows you to be so much more creative.”

The invited guests were also impressed with the presentation and appreciated the opportunity to speak to the designers in person, see the clothing up close and take spectacular photographs of the pieces worn by a mixture of mannequins and live models.

HEMYCA was also recently awarded the “brightest and most directional fashion brand in the UK” by Fashion Press Week.
