A La Mode International Catwalk returned to London Fashion Week for the 7th season last night.
The five emerging designers showcasing this season included Obscure Couture, Rehmali, SEEN by Sumayyah Al Suwaidi, Luna Sky and Kami Shade.
Scottish brand Obscure Couture sent out models in bright pinks bobs and attention grabbing clothing in an array of yellows and golds, whilst Luna Sky had designed gorgeous evening dresses made from delicate fabrics and decorated with feathers and sequins. The collection was mostly black and white and had significant similarities to the dresses in the PPQ show earlier that day. White is, evidently, the colour for this coming winter.
British designer Maria Rehmali created a classic, sophisticated and very feminine collection. The dresses were glamorous and the tailoring was superb. The collection was a mixture of daytime and eveningwear and is accessible to a wide audience. This was glamorous clothing with an elegant twist.
Opulence was offered by Sumayyah Al Suwaidi’s label SEEN. The designer from Dubai showcased her beautiful kaftans and dresses, all of which had a strong influence from the Middle East. The dresses were stunning and were made from intricate lace patterns. The whole collection oozed luxury.
American designer Kami Shade showcased a mixture of party dresses and swimwear. The collection was all about sparkle, and the dresses came embellished in sequins from every colour imaginable.
Everybody was ready to go out and party once the shows were over and this was the exact vibe that the designers had attempted to create.
