Designer of the Week: Stephanie Grace Foy

It’s officially London Fashion Week and to pay homage to our fabulous city, TellusFashion’s Designer of the Week is London-based Stephanie Grace Foy.

Recently considered as the “One to Watch” by the Irish Fashion Innovation Awards, Stephanie has certainly progressed since graduating from Kingston University with a Masters in Fashion last year. Her work has landed her exhibitions in London and Paris, and she showcased her second season at Vauxhall Fashion Scout during London Fashion Week last season. She was also one of our star designers at the TellusFashion launch party, receiving great feedback. 

Stephanie’s designs are unusual and inspiring. Her contemporary aesthetic flows through her collections and provides the wearer with a sense of weightlessness through the use of draping fabrics and easy-moving, layered silks. The Hedonical dress, made of jersey with a printed sheen, bounces light off the draped pleats, accentuating the shape and creating a futuristic feel.

The Devotion capedress is an utterly unique design. Complete with silk cloak, the jersey dress rests on the body effortlessly, with Perspex detail down the front of the torso adding extra modernity. The cobalt hue generates images of running water and outlines the female form perfectly.

Stephanie’s pieces are avant-garde, feminine and flowing; the perfect outfit choices for a fearless, London fashionista.

It seems that this young designer is destined to become a big name within fashion, and we at TellusFashion will be watching from the wings.
