Christina Hamilton: The freshest face in luxury bags

Christina Hamilton graduated a mere two weeks ago from London College of Fashion and now she’s exhibiting her contemporary bags at Vauxhall Fashion Scout.

Hamilton originally trained as a saddler and has combined it with her skills as a newly-trained accessories designer to create a collection of dark leather totes and satchels which hang across the body.

She has interpreted bicycles as the modern day horse and the practicalities of a bag which can be worn while you cycle will undoubtedly prove popular with a bike-mad city like London.

Her first collection, named ‘Displacement of the Saddle’ was spotted by Vauxhall Fashion Scout’s Martyn Roberts who personally invited her to exhibit.

“I was so shocked when Martyn rang, it’s so exciting,” said the designer at her stall this afternoon.
