The British Fashion Council have announced an exciting collaboration with International Fashion Showcase to promote international emerging designers.
The collaboration will bring 80 young labels to the UK for London Fashion Week to be showcased in embassies and cultural institutions around the capital.
Designers from Australia, Belgium, Botswana, The Caribbean, China, Croatia, Estonia, Italy, Japan, Korea, The Netherlands, Nigeria, The Philippines, Poland, Romania, Sierra Leone, The United States and Uzbekistan will take part. The country that showcases the best emerging talent will win an award. The judging panel, hosted by the BFC’s Ambassador for Emerging Talent Sarah Mower MBE, will announce the winner during London Fashion Week.
The project is part of the combined efforts of The British Council and The British Fashion Council to honour the values of international respect, excellence, equality and friendship promoted by the Olympics and Paralympics.
