Fashion designer Alice Temperley has launched a unique initiative to help emerging talent outside of the fashion industry including musicians, artists and performers.
The scheme aims to merge fashion with art by working with young creatives to produce work which is based upon their own interpretation of the fashion label.
The first lucky woman to benefit from the exposure through the Alice Temperley website and social media sites is unsigned singer/songwriter Isabel, who Temperley discovered at an impromptu gig at the Glastonbury Cider Bus.
Her debut music video was produced with help from the Temperley family and features clothing from the pre-fall 2012 collection.
“Isabel has a conversely extraordinarily delicate look to match her powerful voice,” the designer said on her Facebook page: “Isabel’s fearless insistence to get her words and music out there, coupled with her penchant for beautiful clothes, led Alice to suggest her as the talent for the debut Alice by Temperley Talent project”.
The London and LA Temperley stores will also feature a section dedicated to showcasing the talent of new artists as part of the scheme.
