Independent Fashion

The fashion high-street in the UK is fantastic; however there is nothing I love more than finding one off pieces and unique garments that won't have been replicated hundreds of times - I have the same fear every girl gets after purchasing the likes of Topshop clothes, that a girl in a bar or walking down the street will be wearing the same thing. 

Thankfully, with the rise of sites like our very own - giving you the opportunity to spot great designers - we are now able to find pieces that will be unique and more often than not, a little more edgy and fashion forward than your regular high-street buys.

I recently discovered a fantastic Glasgow based 'boutique' called "Once Upon a Time Vintage". The fashion label is run by two lovely sisters, Charlotte and Hannah Booth, from the Highlands in Scotland. The brand is an eclectic mix of vintage and contemporary fashion with some custom made pieces produced by the two girls themselves.

I was lucky enough to get a hold of one of their tye-dye vests a few weeks back and I've not had it off since! I was able to choose my own colours and I had fantastic one to one chats with the girls to make sure it was just right!
