Snow White and the Huntsman Premiere

Rosie Christopher

One of the most highly anticipated films of the year, Snow White and the Huntsman’s is set to be a summer blockbuster and last
night we saw the stars of the movie grace the red carpet for the films World Premiere at London’s Leicester Square.

Lead actresses Kristen Steward and Charlize Theron both opted for gothic glamour in sheer black gowns.  The 22-year-old Twilight
actress wore this stunning Marchesa dress teaming it with a pair of Jimmy Choo heels.

While Charlize Theron wore this beautiful, sleeveless Christian Dior Couture gown from the spring/summer 2012 collection.
Finishing the outfit with a black Dior clutch, black sandals and 1950’s inspired French roll hairstyle.

However, it seems the ladies from Made In Chelsea didn’t do so well in the style department.

Gabriella Ellis, opted for a black dress with a thigh high split that showed much more leg than we cared to see. The long black dress,
green hair and red lips made the reality star look like she was going out for a night of trickle treating rather than attending a premiere.

Victoria Baker Harper looked boring and unglamorous in this white pleated mini dress. Not even those amazing nude Louboutin
peep toes could make the outfit more exiting.

Olympic Ambassador (of style)

Catherine Khim

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge at the Olympic Gala Concert at Royal Albert Hall

In her short but glittering reign as Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton has yet to put a wrong Jimmy Choo-clad foot forward.
As she exited the limo in arguably her best outfit to date on Friday, her waiting subjects drew a collective intake of breath.
In a floor-length Jenny Peckham teal gown (adapted from the original mint green) first showcased on the Spring-Summer '12
runway and a matching clutch, HRH has once again raised the style stakes.

Continuing her winning streak in a pair of strappy Jimmy Choo heels for the second time in a week (hey if it ain't broke...),
the duchess clearly meant business. Her custom-altered dress adhered to royal protocol; the lace detailing covered her decollatage
in place of the plunging neckline of the original version, and the pleats in her full-bodied skirt draped seamlessly over her slender
frame. The back of her dress was undoubtedly the focal point, with the swarovski-encrusted lace fabric, a high neck and delicate
buttonschanneling the romantic mood of the Victorian era.

Taking a break from her usual high-gloss face-framing curls, the duchess's brunette locks were swept into a low chignon at the nape
of her neck with an intricacy that complemented her dress. Her accessories were kept simple so as not to detract from the rest of her
outfit (dripping diamond earrings and her signature engagement ring), and her makeup was fresh and natural; full eyebrows, smokey
eyes, and peachy cheeks. A style triumph for the duchess, and just in time too - with the upcoming Diamond Jubilee and the looming
Olympics, Kate knows that all eyes will be on her, and she is turning up the heat faster than you can say 'Your Highness'.

Kate's makeup, hair and accessories are kept immaculate and fuss-free as usual, she keeps up with the lace trend and proctects
her modesty at the same time

Met Gala madness

Bianca Chadda

The Met Gala: the opening of the annual fashion exhibition at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York. Described as the
'fashion oscars', this red carpet event sees a turn out of multitudes of celebrities, all competing to steal the show...
And this year was NO exception! This years gala seems to be a huge contradiction from a trend perspective, but in the best way
possible! A total myriad of trends, patterns, cuts and colours were seen throughout the night, each more crazy and competitive
than the next. What is nice to see, is that the high street trends that are popular currently, and still popular with the celebs.
Every well thought through outfit choice, with shoes, bags and accessories to match presents an image of the celebrity themselves,
but are they all successful?...

Trend 1 - Show some skin.

Many of the celebs dared to bare, with cut out dresses, plunging neckines and some rather short minis. With summer approaching,
it's timeto get your skin showing items out. Here are some of the slinky summery pieces from our designers, with maximum skin
showing-off potential!

Trend 2 - Mad on shape.

It isn't just the celebs going crazy for mad shapes of clothing, incorporating puplums, ruffles and feathers into the mix. Perhaps for the
slightlymore mad, these dress and shapes are bound to make a lasting impression! Here are some of our designers' take on the shape
trend.

Trend 3 - Shines and Embellishments

The use of sequins, jewels, spikes and other fancy embellishments is a much use trend at the moment, with many high street stores
jumping on the band wagon, just in time for prom season. This also, as in Carey's case, smoothly sits beside the current mermaid trend.
Check out these designs from our Tellus shop which follow the same dazzling thoughts...

ZA BY ZERRIN AKINCI jumpsuit, with mirror embellished front panel.  ALEXANDER VAN BAALEN, cute beaded shoulder embellishments.

So there you have it, three trends rocked at the Met Gala 2012, that aren't just for the celebrities. Take some inspiration from the pieces
worn this year, and make them your own. Have a look through the Tellusfashion shop, where you are sure to find an individual and

Thigh High

Rosie Christopher
Quickly becoming one of the most photographed women in the world, Kate Middleton has ditched her frumpy country bumpkin
style and has miraculously evolved into one of our favourite fashionista.  Her ability to make even the simplest dresses look
sensational has seen products selling out as soon as they're spotted on the Duchess.

But we were all a bit shocked here at Tellusfashion when the Duchess snubbed her classic and conservative style and stepped
out wearing a Roland Mouret cream dress, with a very risqué thigh high split. She teamed this gorgeous gown with
Jimmy Choo Metallic platform sandals and a Jimmy Choo sparkly beaded bag.

But Kate’s not the only celeb who’s been seen showing a bit of leg, Angelina Jolie started off the trend when she wore this Versace
gown to the Oscars. Her leg got so much attention a Twitter account with over one million followers was made and dedicated to it.

And Victoria Secret model Anja Rubik showed more than just leg at the Met Ball (see our favourite dresses from the event here),
as she accessorised her revealing dresswith hip bones and no knickers.

Beyoncé Knowles made her red carpet debut since giving birth at last night's impossibly glamorous Schiaparelli and Prada:
Impossible Conversations Costume Institute Gala (aka the Met Gala), and didn't she look gorgeous!

Although the star needed a little help showing off her glamourous gown she still oozed effortless sophistication, and just who
doesn't want to be Beyoncé's professional tail feather fluffer?!

The dress, made by Givenchy Couture, was embellished with hundreds of crystals and featured a huge feather train.

Other celebrities that wowed were Carey Mulligan and Donatella Versace, who donned this season's mermaid trend. Florence
Welch who represented spring's white and textured look and Marion Cotillard who stunned us with drop dead sexiness.
