Zerrin Akinci describes herself as an international designer where she combines her western fashion education with eastern cultural and ethnic values. She defines her style as integration of the modernity of the West and the ethnicity of the East, which she calls ETHNIC MODERNITY.
Born in Cyprus in 1982, after successfully completing her masters degree in UK, Zerrin Akinci started to her career in trade marketing in Cyprus which lasted until she headed to USA to follow her dream, where studied at the university of Nevada, Las Vegas and completed fashion design certificate program.
In 2010, her first women's ready to wear collection, under the ZA by GHS label, was launched in collaboration with manufacturer GHS. Collection was presented in Cyprus for the Autumn/Winter 2011 season and had a massive media attention.
Following this collaboration, Zerrin is now preparing her first runway presentation of ZA by Zerrin Akinci during London Fashion Week in september.
Today, Zerrin Akinci, is the sole owner and designer of her own brand and director of gEzA concept store in Cyprus. She is also doing freelance work in US' garment industry.
As a designer she designs with the passion to create as unique as the soul, as fitted as the skin and as unique as her clients’ personal values.
