A name to keep a watchful eye on
Spotlight is on the creative’s of the future and SGF is one of them. Recently awarded as ‘One to watch” at the Irish Fashion innovation awards, the label SGF has gone from strength to strength.
Since graduating With A First class honours From Kingston University in September of last year, Stephanie has exhibited her A/W11 collection in London and Paris, which has secured her first stockist “The Convenience store”.
Throughout her career SGF was privileged to witness the inner workings of the design process and meet some of the industry’s top fashion players through working as a freelance pattern cutter for luxury brands such as Marios Schwab, Bora Aksu, and Avshalom Gur to name a few. It was during these formative years that SGF came to appreciate quality, style and functionality and began to formulate ideas for her own designs.
As SGF prepares her second season at Vauxhall Fashion Scout for SS12, The label is not going unnoticed by the fashion press and high profile personalities alike, SGF has already been spied on the likes of Becky jones from Saint Saviour, (lead vocalist of Groove Armada) and In recent Months, SGF has collaborated with the photographer Natalie Dysbizs who has been selected for a spread in Italian vogue.
Described as a New Materiologist (philippa Wagner) the label is classic with a contemporary twist.
Original, innovative and inspiring work produced by SGF will be exhibited at Vauxhall Fashion Scout, London which, is open to the public. The exhibition gives visitors a glimpse of the next generation of creative talent in the Fashion industry
