REtrose_ work is based on two factors: Upcycling the old and creating contemporary and wearable clothing. These factors have meant that Emma had to use imaginative techniques to make once unwearable items of clothing in to not only wearable garments, but desired ones too. Recycle. Rewear. Remember. Relove. Emma love reinventing and this collection in particular focuses on the nostalgia of old family photos, and how it is possible to make these images wearable and contemporary without losing their essence and sense of humour. Everything apart from the digital print is upcycled. The digital print is printed on organic fairtrade cottons. everything that isn't digitally printed, including the waistbands, buttons, collars and shirts have been upcycled, and even the patterns used to make the outfits have been adapted from vintage patterns.
