Fjaba was founded in 2006 by sisters Mirna and Ida, having its first big launch at the 2007 Cro-à-Porter in Zagreb, Croatia.With previous experience in designing glamorous, luxury evening dresses, they have been recognised since then by names such as Elle, Cosmopolitan and Grazia Magazines. After seven seasons at Croatian Fashion Weeks and excellent feedback and interest from international buyers in their Studio in Split, they decided to expand to an international market by presenting their AW11 collection in London during London Fashion Week.In their work, they tend to start with very elaborate materials (silk, hand made embroidery) and work their way to making them “street-friendly”; but also always using new techniques like digital printing and laser cutting.Fjaba's clients are "style" people as their design is not a one-season fashion, but an attitude, vision and style of a person.
